Egyptian Jewelry and Amulet Replicas

Faux faience Egyptian amulets

A 1997 kit called Fun With Amulets by Diana Craig Patch was published by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The kit included a 63 page book appropriate for youths, a silicone mat with several mold matrixes, and some polymer clay.
I acquired fresh polymer clay in gold and turquoise, and decided to see what I could come up with.

Although the amulets are only as sturdy as the baked clay, I am able to produce them in quantity, and can replicate the repetitive styles of ancient Egyptian jewelry.
